Terms of service

Effective Date: July 18, 2026  ·  Last Updated: July 18, 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between Tribe Connect LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Tribe Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and you, the person who creates an account, purchases our equipment, or uses our services (“you,” “your,” the “Account Holder,” or “Customer”).

These Terms govern your purchase and use of the Tribe Connect home phone equipment, our websites at tribeconnect.com and app.tribeconnect.com, our Tribe Connect mobile application (the “App”), and the calling and related services we provide (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, purchasing equipment, activating the Service, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Service.

Please read Section 13 (Emergency Services and 911), Section 25 (Limitation of Liability), and Section 27 (Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver) carefully. They significantly affect your legal rights.

2. Definitions

  • “Account Holder” means the parent or legal guardian (18 or older) who opens and controls the Tribe Connect account.

  • “Equipment” means the Tribe Connect hardware we sell or ship to you, including Trimline handset phone(s) and the FTA1101 (or successor) home phone base/adapter device.

  • “Parent Portal” means the web and App interfaces through which the Account Holder manages the account, approved contacts, quiet hours, the Registered Location, and other settings.

  • “Registered Location” means the current, accurate physical (street) address you provide and maintain for each line for 911 purposes.

  • “Household User” means any member of your household (including children) who uses the Equipment or Service.

  • “Keepsakes” means the voicemail and saved-recording features of the Service.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to be an Account Holder. The Service is offered for use in the United States only.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and to keep it up to date, including your Registered Location and payment information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@tribeconnect.com of any unauthorized use.

4. Household Use and Parental Responsibility

Tribe Connect is a home phone. It is designed so that anyone in your household — including children — may pick up a handset and place or receive calls, subject to the settings you configure. As the Account Holder, you are responsible for, and assume all risk arising from, all use of the Equipment and Service by every Household User, including any child.

You control, through the Parent Portal, features such as approved contacts, blocked numbers, quiet hours, ring order, and calling permissions. You acknowledge that you, and not Tribe Connect, are responsible for determining and maintaining who a child may call or receive calls from and when. Tribe Connect does not monitor the content of calls and is not responsible for the conduct of any Household User or any party they communicate with.

You agree that you are fully responsible for the acts and omissions of every Household User in connection with the Equipment and Service, and you will ensure that all Household Users comply with these Terms.

5. Children’s Data and Parental Consent

Because the Service is used in the home by children, we may collect and store information relating to a child, such as call records (numbers dialed and received and call times), voicemail and saved audio recordings (Keepsakes), contacts, and related settings. We collect this information to provide the Service and only with parental consent.

By opening an account and using the Service, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child Household User, and you consent to our collection, use, and storage of such information as described in these Terms and in our Privacy Policy. As the Account Holder, you may review, manage, and request deletion of this information through the Parent Portal or by contacting us at support@tribeconnect.com.

Our collection and handling of personal information, including any information relating to children under 13 and our compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, do not use the Service.

6. The Service

Tribe Connect provides an internet-based (VoIP) home phone service that operates over your home Wi-Fi and internet connection. Depending on your plan and settings, the Service may include nationwide calling, caller ID, spam/robocall blocking, voicemail and Keepsakes, approved contacts and blocked numbers, quiet hours, ring order, call history, and Emergency Alerts. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

The Service relies on the public internet and third-party networks and is provided on a commercially reasonable efforts basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Because the Service depends on your Wi-Fi, internet connection, and electrical power, the Service (including the ability to place any call, and 911 calling) will not work if your Wi-Fi is down, your internet connection fails, or you lose electrical power. See Section 13.

7. Equipment and Hardware

You purchase Tribe Connect Equipment through our online store. Title to and ownership of the Equipment passes to you upon delivery; you own the Equipment you purchase. You are responsible for the Equipment after delivery, including any loss, theft, or damage.

You agree to use the Equipment only with the Service and only as intended for residential, non-commercial use. Any manufacturer warranty for the Equipment, if any, is described separately. Except as required by law or expressly stated, the Equipment is provided without warranty by Tribe Connect.

Returns of Equipment are governed by Section 11 (Refunds and Returns).

8. Service Plans, Billing, and Payment

Service is offered on a subscription basis. Current plans, pricing, and included features are published on tribeconnect.com and may change from time to time. Pricing is not fixed by these Terms.

Recurring subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis; certain add-on lines or devices may be billed as described at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you authorize Tribe Connect and its third-party payment processors to charge your payment method on file for all applicable fees, taxes, and charges on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Taxes and regulatory fees. All applicable taxes, surcharges, and regulatory fees (including any federal, state, or local taxes, 911 fees, and Universal Service and similar telecommunications charges) are your responsibility and are charged in addition to the subscription price, calculated in accordance with applicable law.

You agree to keep your payment information current. We may update payment details through account-updater services provided by card networks or processors. If a charge is declined, Section 12 applies.

9. Free Trial / Promotional Offers

From time to time we may offer promotional pricing or a free trial. During our prelaunch/preorder phase, the first month of Service is free. Unless you cancel before the end of any free or promotional period, your subscription will automatically continue and your payment method will be charged the then-current fees. Promotional terms may impose additional conditions and may be modified or withdrawn.

10. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time by contacting us at support@tribeconnect.com; we will confirm your cancellation.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Your Service continues through the end of the current paid billing period, and monthly fees already paid are non-refundable except as expressly stated in Section 11 or as required by law. Where required by law, we will provide any legally mandated auto-renewal disclosures and cancellation methods.

11. Refunds and Returns

You may request a refund within 30 days of your purchase. To receive a refund, you must return all Equipment we shipped to you — including all Trimline handset phone(s) and the FTA1101 (or successor) device(s) — in good, working condition and in accordance with the return instructions we provide. You are responsible for return shipping unless we specify otherwise.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Except as required by law or expressly stated here, fees are otherwise non-refundable.

12. Nonpayment, Dunning, and Suspension

If a scheduled payment fails, we will notify you automatically and attempt to collect payment. You will have a 10-day grace period to resolve the balance. If payment is not received within the grace period, we may place your account in a soft lock, during which the Equipment will be unable to place outbound calls until payment is made. Even during a soft lock or other suspension, you must maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services (see Section 13). Continued nonpayment may result in suspension or termination under Section 29.

13. Emergency Services and 911 — IMPORTANT

Please read this section carefully and share it with everyone in your household. Tribe Connect provides access to emergency services (911 / Enhanced 911, “E911”), but that access works differently from, and is more limited than, traditional wireline telephone 911. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree to each of the following:

  • (a) Dependence on power, internet, and Wi-Fi. The Service, including 911 dialing, will not function during an electrical power outage, if your internet connection fails or is unstable, if your home Wi-Fi is not working, or if your account is suspended or terminated. If any of these occurs, the phone will not be able to dial out, including to 911.

  • (b) Registered Location. You are required to provide and maintain a current, accurate physical (street) address as your Registered Location for each line in the Parent Portal. If your Registered Location is missing, inaccurate, or out of date, emergency responders may be sent to the wrong address, your call may be delayed, or your call may be routed to a national emergency center rather than your local Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”). You must update your Registered Location whenever your address changes or you move the Equipment.

  • (c) Alternative means of access. You must maintain an alternative means of accessing emergency services (for example, a cellular phone), and you should not rely solely on the Service for emergency calling.

  • (d) No control over PSAP handling. We rely on third parties to route emergency calls, and we do not control whether or how emergency calls are answered, handled, or responded to by any PSAP, emergency operator, or responder.

  • (e) Notice to household members and guests. You are responsible for notifying all Household Users, guests, and other potential users of the Equipment of the nature and limitations of 911 service described here.

The Service is not intended for life-sustaining or life-safety uses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tribe Connect and its owners, employees, and suppliers disclaim any and all liability arising from or relating to your ability or inability to reach emergency services, the routing or handling of any emergency call, or any act or omission of any PSAP or emergency responder. You agree to the indemnification in Section 26 with respect to emergency-service claims. When you set up service, we ask you to affirmatively acknowledge these 911 limitations (see Appendix A).

14. Emergency Alerts

The Service may offer “Emergency Alerts,” which attempt to notify designated recipients by email and/or SMS text message when 911 is dialed from your line. Emergency Alerts are provided on a best-effort basis only. They depend on the same power, internet, Wi-Fi, and third-party networks as the rest of the Service, and on email/SMS carriers we do not control. Alerts may be delayed, undelivered, or fail entirely. Emergency Alerts are not a substitute for calling 911 and must not be relied upon as an emergency-notification or life-safety system. You are responsible for keeping recipient contact information accurate.

15. Numbers, Assignment, and Porting

At this time, Tribe Connect provides you with a new telephone number for each line; number porting (bringing your existing number, or taking your number elsewhere) is not currently supported and may be offered in the future. You do not own any telephone number assigned to you, and numbers may be subject to change, reassignment, or regulatory requirements. We rely on third parties for numbering and related services and are not liable for delays or failures in number assignment or, when available, porting.

16. Acceptable Use; Residential Use Only; Fair Use

The Service is for personal, residential, non-commercial use by a single household. You agree not to use the Service or Equipment for any unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or commercial purpose, including without limitation: autodialing, telemarketing, robocalling, call-center or trunking use, resale of the Service, harassment or threats, transmitting unlawful or infringing content, recording calls without any legally required consent, reverse engineering, or interfering with the Service or networks.

Fair use. We may monitor usage for abusive or suspicious patterns. If we detect use that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, non-residential, or otherwise in violation of these Terms, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate the Service, or disable outbound calling, with or without notice, to protect the Service, our other customers, and third parties.

17. Voicemail and Keepsakes

The Service may record, store, and let you save voicemail messages and other audio (Keepsakes). We do not guarantee the storage, retention, availability, or successful delivery of any voicemail, recording, or message, and we may impose or change retention periods and storage limits. You are responsible for ensuring that any recording of calls or messages complies with all applicable laws, including obtaining any legally required consent of the parties. We are not responsible for the loss or deletion of any recording or message.

18. SMS and Text Messaging Consent

By providing a mobile telephone number, you consent to receive service and transactional text (SMS) messages from Tribe Connect, which may include Emergency Alerts, failed-payment and billing notices, voicemail notifications, and account or security messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. Note that opting out of Emergency Alert text messages will reduce or eliminate safety notifications you would otherwise receive. Consent to marketing texts, if any, is separate and not a condition of purchase.

19. Mobile Application License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, solely to access the Service. The App is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law.

Apple App Store. If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Tribe Connect only, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or the Service. Your use of the App must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); to the extent these Terms are less restrictive than, or conflict with, the Apple standard EULA, the Apple standard EULA governs the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you with respect to the App.

20. Intellectual Property

Tribe Connect and its licensors own all rights in the Service, the App, our websites, and our names, logos, and trademarks, including “Tribe Connect” and “Keepsakes.” Except for the limited rights expressly granted here, no rights are granted to you. You may not use our marks without our prior written permission.

21. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information, including information relating to children and Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) as required by applicable telecommunications law. By using the Service you consent to those practices.

22. Third-Party Services and Networks

The Service depends on third parties, including your internet service provider, and our telecommunications, numbering, messaging, payment, and store providers. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or performance of third parties or for your agreements with them (for example, your ISP or mobile carrier).

23. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, add or remove features, and perform maintenance, at any time. We do not warrant that the Service will be available at any particular time or location or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

24. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE, THE APP, AND THE EQUIPMENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT CALLS (INCLUDING 911 CALLS) WILL BE COMPLETED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

25. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIBE CONNECT AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR RECORDINGS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, THE APP, OR THE EQUIPMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TRIBE CONNECT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION AND IN SECTION 13 (EMERGENCY SERVICES) APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND ARE A FUNDAMENTAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

26. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tribe Connect and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your or any Household User’s use of the Service, App, or Equipment; (b) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (c) any emergency or 911 call, or the absence, failure, or outage of the Service or Equipment; (d) any recording of calls or messages; (e) any violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) or of telemarketing, messaging, or fax laws; and (f) content transmitted through the Service.

27. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL, AND REQUIRES INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION.

(a) Informal resolution. Before starting arbitration, you agree to first contact us at support@tribeconnect.com and give us at least 45 days to resolve the dispute informally.

(b) Binding arbitration. Except as provided below, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable rules, rather than in court, and the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.

(c) Class action and jury trial waiver. Disputes will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You and Tribe Connect each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.

(d) 30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration and class-waiver provision by emailing support@tribeconnect.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name, account, and intent to opt out. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.

(e) Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property or unauthorized-use claims.

28. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 27, any dispute not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

29. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Service or account, in whole or in part, with or without notice, for nonpayment, violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or as required by law, or upon discontinuation of the Service. You may cancel as described in Section 10. Upon termination, your right to use the Service and App ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 13, 20, 24–28, and 31) will survive.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by reasonable means (for example, by email or through the App or Parent Portal). Changes are effective when posted or on the stated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may cancel.

31. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the 911 Acknowledgment, and any order or plan terms are the entire agreement between you and Tribe Connect regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements. Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them. Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control. Notices. We may provide notices to you by email or through the Service; you may send notices to us at the address below.

Appendix A — 911 Acknowledgment

When you set up service, we ask you to affirmatively acknowledge the following about 911 on your Tribe Connect phone:

  • The phone, including 911 calling, will not work during a power outage, internet outage, Wi-Fi failure, or while my account is suspended.

  • I must provide and keep updated an accurate physical (street) address (Registered Location) for each line, and if it is wrong or out of date, help may be delayed or sent to the wrong place.

  • I must keep an alternative way to call 911 (such as a cell phone) and will not rely on Tribe Connect alone for emergencies.

  • Tribe Connect does not control how or whether 911 calls are answered or handled by emergency operators or responders.

  • I will inform everyone in my household, and any guests who may use the phone, of these 911 limitations.

  • The Service is not for life-sustaining or life-safety use, and Emergency Alerts are best-effort only and are not a substitute for calling 911.
